No after-the-fact manipulation to add or re-do any elements of the original performances has taken place. The technical deficiencies in some of the recordings, as well as the limitations of the performance in some cases, are an inevitable consequence in any kind of fieldwork.
In addition to its value as a sound recording archive, the present project intends to protect the richness of our traditions.
