José Vicente Leal Mora
jose-vte-leal-jogvwebJosé Vicente Leal Mora was born in Manises in 1988. He started his musical training in the Musical Society L'Artística Manisense, specialising in violin. He then studied in the professional conservatories of Riba-Roja de Túria and Valencia, under Juan José Aguado, Rebeca Capella and Encarna Beltrán, among others.
He continued his studies in Orchestra and Choir Conducting in the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música of Madrid under Mercedes Padilla, Pascual Osa and Jesús Amigo, among others. At this institution he received the Graduation Honour Prize in December of 2015.
He has attended conducting courses with maestros Enrique García Asensio, José Rafael-Pascual Vilaplana, Pablo Sánchez Torrella, Alex Schilling and Mercedes Padilla. In October of 2015 he was chosen to attend a master class in London with professor Achim Holub and the London Classical Soloist Orchestra.
As resident conductor he has led different ensembles, bands and orchestras, including Orquesta Sinfónica Enbel's. With this orchestra he prepares symphony programmes from different historical periods, as well as premieres for COSICOVA (the Association of Valencian Symphony Composers) and collaborations with different non-profit organisations, such as AECC (Spanish Cancer Association), "La otra orilla" NGO, and AVAPACE (Valencian Cerebral Palsy Support Association).
He has performed with soloists such as the pianist Fernando Tortajada, cellist Rafal Jezierski and the soprano Elisa Belmonte.
Currently he is a professor at the Centre d'Estudis Musicals of Benifaió and Assistant Conductor of the Young Orchestra of the Generalitat Valenciana.
